A need has been expressed for excellence, competency, integrity and established professional qualifications in the field of business management. The Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) is responding to both social expectation and professional need. The CCPC, by Federal Charter, has taken upon itself, as a recognized certifying body, to certify those qualified individuals who are engaged as Professional Managers.

Certification is granted to professional managers who have met the “standards criteria” set by the Examining Board of the CCPC. The application provides the opportunity for the applicant to demonstrate adequate skill, knowledge, and competence as a manager.
The applicant must have the equivalent of one year (2000 hours) full time work experience in addition to course work placement. Full time University or Community College students in Management Studies would be eligible with 1500 hours of experience.

No Business Administration degree is required but such a degree would cover all of the required Core Competencies. Education must be related to the base of knowledge and skills associated with the Professional Manager Core Competencies. All education must be documented with transcripts included. An applicant applying for certification must have a minimum of 800 documented hours of education. (See Standards Manual for details).

Please review the manual below for complete information on the certification.
